Investigation into Verizon’s Free HDTV and “Blitz” Promotions
Giskan Solotaroff Anderson & Stewart is currently investigating complaints from consumers who (i) ordered Verizon's Triple Play FIOS service based on the Company's promise to provide either a free LCD TV or Best Buy giftcard in return, or (ii) signed up for Verizon's "Blitz" promotion in order to receive a discount on the Company's "Freedom Essentials" package.
With respect to the Free HDTV promotion, we have learned that several months after consumers ordered the FIOS service, Verizon still has not provided the promised televisions or giftcards. Beyond that, when consumers have attempted to reach the Company, they either have not been able to get through or have been given inaccurate information.
We also understand that many consumers have not received the promised "Blitz" discount on their Freedom Essentials package or that they had to wait several months for the discount to be reflected on their statements.
If you participated in either of these promotions and would like more information, or if you wish to report any complaint relating to either of these promotions, please use the form below. Note that Giskan Solotaroff Anderson & Stewart will treat all information received as strictly confidential.
