Employment and Civil Rights

Jason Solotaroff and Darnley Stewart head the employment law and civil rights practice at the firm. Mr. Solotaroff, Ms. Stewart and Ms. Anderson represent employees in the litigation of discrimination and contractual claims, as well as in the negotiation of employment and severance agreements.

When faced with an adverse employment action, such as termination, harassment, or being passed over for a promotion, it is important to seek legal counsel immediately. We will provide you with a candid assessment of your situation and your options. Often we are able to negotiate a resolution to your situation prior to any complaints being filed in court or with administrative agencies. If litigation is necessary, we will represent you aggressively and vigorously.

In addition to handling cases on behalf of individuals, we also have a number of active employment class and collective actions pending. The firm is currently lead or co-lead counsel in class actions against such companies as Lockheed Martin Corporation, Canon, Wachovia, Domino’s Pizza, and Baluchi’s Restaurant chain.
